LORD, ARE YOU GOING TO WASH MY FEET?

|| When was the last time someone asked you the same question?

Text: John 13:6-7
[6]When Jesus came to Simon Peter, Peter said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?”
[7]Jesus replied, “You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.”

When was the last time someone who really respects you questioned your act of service towards him or her?

When was the last time you decided to serve the less privileged at the expense of receiving service from them?

Peter was surprised to see his Lord and Master coming too low to his level to the extent of washing his feet.

He tried to resist him but Jesus said you are not part of me if I don't wash your feet.

This is a perfect example Christ has laid down for us; no matter your status in life you are to serve others.

What will you do today for someone to question you like Jesus?

Jesus told his disciples the best way to be happy in life is to serve.

Do you want to live a fulfilled life then serve?

Do you want to impact lives positively then serve?

Do you want to live a legacy in the minds and hearts of men then serve?

Serve men with your heart, hands, talents, speech and so on and you will enjoy its fruit in due time.

Service benefits the giver more than the receiver.

May the Spirit of God create in us a heart ready to serve at all times in Jesus Name. Amen.
